Truth in Love Ministries was born when God united the hearts and ministry work of John and Connie Bermea. Their marriage and ministry began on a mission trip to the Yucatan. A Spanish-speaking native of San Antonio, John served in a local church as ordained evangelist. Connie had begun her service in the mission field, completed training with Grace Institute as a Christian counselor and certified minister.

Today, the Lord has moved them into other areas of ministries, including leading a home fellowship group. The Village Academy educational division began with a quest to provide quality Christian educational programs for children during the summer months. Missions in an African village of Botswana, Africa, the jungle of the Yucatan, the hills and old cities of Israel, the lush tropics of Costa Rica and the mountains of Guatemala have only served to fuel our burning desire to take Jesus to the world.

John and Connie live in Texas but share the vision for 'Taking Jesus to the World'. They have six grown children and eight grandchildren.
One of the last instructions Jesus gave His disciple was to take the good news of the gospel to every nation. We believe that Christians today can help fulfill that Great Commission through the experience of missions.
Short-term mission trips serve to bring cross-cultural understanding. It teaches Believers to share the world vision of the Lord. We believe in training up disciples and leading them to that purpose.
